Welcome from the EUCROF President

Martine Dehlinger-Kremer Martine Dehlinger-Kremer Dear Participants,
I hoped that after a long period of repeated lockdowns, all of us would be able to take advantage of this great opportunity to travel and meet each other in person in Madrid at the 6th European Conference on Clinical Research organised by EUCROF on 7th and 8th February 2022. However, for those not in a position to attend in person, we are happy for them to participate virtually. Every effort will be taken to ensure all attendees, irrespective of location, feel part of one community.

The COVID-19 pandemic had a global impact on business. In terms of Clinical Research, we have seen significant changes already, including the implementation of decentralised clinical trials.

How will the world for clinical research evolve in the near future? What are the main changes in the new era, the new opportunities and what kind of challenges might we have to overcome? Listen to the experts in the different fields, i.e., the EU Commission, the European Medicines Agency (EMA), ethic committees' representatives, industry, academia, and patient representatives and learn about what we are to expect in the years to come.

You are cordially invited to join the 6th European Conference on Clinical Research for one or both days to listen, discuss, exchange ideas and make new contacts. You will be offered the opportunity to personally connect via business to business meetings.

We hope you will enjoy a productive event, while the safety and wellbeing of all those present in Madrid will be ensured by the organisers. Furthermore, we kindly invite these attendees to join us for the conference networking dinner on February 7th, 2022, in a typical world-renowned Spanish atmosphere.

We are looking forward to meeting you in person or virtually at the conference. Thank you in advance.

Dr Martine Dehlinger-Kremer
EUCROF President
